Community Leaders Convening

Each year, RAISE Texas brings together leaders and stakeholders from the financial health and asset-building field across Texas to share emerging trends, pressing challenges, and promising innovations. These convenings also serve as a vital platform for collaboration. The input and expertise shared in this convening shape and inform RAISE Texas’ programs, policy priorities, and statewide initiatives.

RAISE Texas Summit

At the RAISE Texas 15th Anniversary Summit in March 2023, we focused on “Connect to Effect: Building an Equitable Financial Ecosystem for Texans.” Over two days, we brought together 193 community stakeholders and leaders from 113 organizations, including nonprofits, financial institutions, funders, and local, state, and federal agencies.

RAISE Texas VITA Conference

In June, RAISE Texas brought together 87 staff and volunteers from 46 Texas VITA programs for a collaborative conference focused on sharing best practices, addressing challenges, and exchanging innovative ideas. The convening featured a tour of the BakerRipley Tax Center, the country’s largest VITA program, which completed over 36,000 tax returns during the 2024 tax season.
